Our mobile vets will be able to talk you through the vet euthanasia process step-by-step, so you know what to expect and give you time and privacy to say goodbye to your beloved pet.

The Mobile Vet Euthanasia Process
Our mobile vet will arrive at your home at a pre-booked time that suits both you and your family. Afterhours appointments are available upon request. We suggest choosing somewhere comfortable for both you and your pet during the visitation our vet will be able to work around you and your pets’ needs.

As part of your family’s goodbye our vet can also help assist with any religious or personal ceremonies you may want to have before the next steps.

Your vet is on hand to answer any questions you may have and will give you a breakdown of the procedure and what to expect. In most cases, your mobile vet will administer a sedation via injection under the skin for your pet. The sedation helps your pet to feel more relaxed and help with the facilitation of catheter placement.

The mobile vet will then place an intravenous catheter. usually in a front leg allowing an open port to the vein. This means the vet can administer the euthanasia solution without the need for injections, making it pain free and as comfortable as possible for your pet.

The procedure involves an overdose of an anaesthetic agent, this means your pet will fall sleep and then their heart will stop beating without any pain, anxiety or distress present. Your pet will drift off peacefully and painlessly within a very short time. The entire procedure has been created specifically to be as pain free and stress free as possible.
